Our house was jumping with action this past weekend as we had three full days filled the the brim with stuff going on. We have not had this much time of just us together in a while since Waylon has been working alot of weekends lately. This weekend was so refreshing and lots of memories made.
Since the kids were out of school and I was off for Good Friday, we spent most of the morning at the gym so I could work out. I got a great workout in as morning workouts feel so much better to my body. We went back home and waited on Kennedy to lay down for her nap so Jon Walker and I could dye Easter eggs for the the Easter bunny to come pick up and hide for them. He was so into the Easter bunny this year, it was great. JW enjoyed dying the eggs so much and he really did a good job. Friday night Waylon and I had a date night while Joey babysat which is so nice of him. I think he enjoys his time with the kids and they love his company! We enjoyed dinner and movie and had a nice time just being alone without the kids for a few hours.
Saturday morning I went to the gym for my last chance workout and weigh-in and lost one more pound. I am still slowly losing but I am very satisfied as I feel so good and my clothes are too big so that is a good enough sign to me that I am doing great. We ran 4 miles outside as a portion of our workout and I really enjoyed that. Then I went back home and relaxed for a little while then Waylon decided we should go to Oxford and watch the Ole Miss baseball game. We had no other plans and it was a beautiful afternoon so we got ready to make it to the 4 pm game. Jon Walker was so excited as this was his first game (Kennedy's too) and I couldn't get ready quick enough for him. We had a friend and his 5 year old son ride with us so Jon Walker was the happiest kid on earth. We all dressed in our red and blue and headed to "God's country." We sat in the outfield and it got really hot so we walked to the Grove toward the end of the game. The kids ran and ran and it felt so good to lay in the coolest, most green grass ever! Then we had dinner at Proud Larry's (yum) and headed home just in time for the Easter bunny to make his deliveries.
The kids woke up on Easter Sunday to baskets filled with goodies and then we headed off to mass. They looked so cute in their new clothes and Kennedy is finally not pulling her bow out of her hair! We immediately did our egg hunt after church since the rain was headed our way. They both found lots of eggs and had a really good time running all over trying to get to the eggs before the other one! I made my first Easter lunch of barbeque chicken and lots of sides, including deviled eggs. The rain started and the rest of the day was a lazy day in front of the tv.
It was a fabulous weekend with so many pictures...it was hard to pick which ones to post!!!
