I am very proud of myself this morning as I hit the 10 pound mark of my weight loss. The pounds are coming off surely but slowly and I am trying hard not to get discouraged each week when I only see a 1 or 2 pound loss at a time. I guess my body is just older and needs a little more help losing the weight.
I am satisfied with my 1 pound loss this week becuase I had two things going against me and I was nervous about my weigh-in. First, I had mentioned earlier about eating mexican food last weekend. I did eat some cheese dip and chips and the in-laws brought candy for the kids and I indulged in some M & Ms and sour chewy candies. Also, because of our trip to Greenville this weekend, I am unable to work out tonight before the normal weigh-in on Saturday. So I am short one work out and had to weigh-in a day early.
All in all, I am happy at this mid point in the competition. We just finished our sixth week in the 12 week Biggest Loser competition and although I am not winning, I still have lost over 5% of my body weight and feeling really great. The compliments I am getting aren't so bad either!
