And How Old Am I?

So last week was tough on me when I worked legs with Kelly for the first time. OUCH! By Saturday's workout, my hemstring was so tight that I had to start soaking in Epsom salt and take off for the rest of the weekend. I skipped my workout Monday as well just because I wasn't feeling up to it and then went back in last night. I am so sad because I can barely run...and I am a runner, believe it or not. It takes so much for my body to sweat and I like to sweat. It makes me feel like I'm doing something. I started sprint training a couple of weeks ago...I sprint really fast for 30 seconds then jump off the treadmill for 30 seconds and keep going that way for about 45 minutes. It gets my heartrate up and down in intervals and makes me sweat really good. And I can't do that right now because my hemstring is still strained which is causing my knee to overcompensate and I feel like a 90 year old lady when trying to run. I am discouraged because I can't push myself this week and wonder how my weigh in will go on Saturday.

I do want to heal though because I gave myself a new challenge last night. Did anyone see last night's episode of The Biggest Loser? They each ran a half marathon during their hometown visits. It is a total of 13.1 miles. I kept watching them and thinking...if they can do it in less than 3 hrs at their sizes still, I can do it. So, by the end of next week, I am going to run a half marathon on the treadmill!
