When my bible study group (awesome bunch of girls) met last week, our study was focused on our lists of negatives and positives--which was longer and ways to make or keep the positive list greater. I was actually surprised that my longer list was of the positives, because lately I have been taken over by my negatives. I am really trying to look up and see the stars much more often rather than to look down on the mishaps of life itself. Today is a perfect example of all the happiness in my life.
1. My husband gave me the most beautiful flowers for Valentines Day and they were extra special because of the thought he put in them. I carried white tulips on our wedding day and we will be married 5 years next Saturday. My V-day arrangement had 5 white tulips mixed with some other very pretty flowers (see below).
2. Next Saturday, February, 21, Waylon and I will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary with many of our closest friends and family as we renew our vows of love and committment to one another....so pumped about that one!
3. For those of you who follow Boo Mama's blog, she hosted a giveaway last week of lots of fun Valentines gifts and I was selected as a winner of a cd of Dave Barnes (I never win these type things, so I was excited to see my luck turning around)...see previous post.
4. My children are some of the happiest and loving children and I just thank God for that everyday.
5. I am priveledged enough to take a beach trip each July with my mom and girlfriends and we booked our gorgeous beach house yesterday.
So, all in all, today is a beautiful, sun shiny day and I feel so refreshed as I focus on the positive in my life and know that things could always be worse.
God is Good!!!
