It has not been made private that I am so excited about this Saturday night. First of all it is our 5th wedding anniversary. That is enough to be happy about. And grateful about. And enamored with. And spiritually driven about. All in all, I am a very blessed half of a parnership with whom I share an amazing journey. We have two of the healthiest, most beautiful, most loving and caring babies ever. We are growing emotionally with one another and most importantly, we are spiritually driven like never before. And that feels awesome. Five years and still figuring each other out...I guess it will never end and I pray each and everyday that we can embrace the surprises we find in each other, whether they be good or bad.
On top of the 21st being "just" our anniversary, we have decided to have our wedding vows blessed by our new home church in Hernando. We have attended mass at Holy Spirit for the past couple of years but it has never really felt like home. It is the complete opposite of St. Joseph, which possesses a century of woodwork and stained glass. It is just beautiful. It is so rich with heritage and generations of families and that is what I was used to in a church. Holy Spirit is a community of many decades with a brand new church on the grounds. We were not married in our church and neither of the children were baptized in this church either. Our renewal of our vows is our attempt to really bond with our new church.
So, it was a great excuse to buy a new dress (and no, it is not white) and an even better way to celebrate our love for one another. We will be celebrating with some of our closest friends and family at the blessing of the vows and then dinner afterwards. CANNOT WAIT...stay tuned for photos as I know there will be lots!
